Oh man, what a crazy couple of months it has been! Life has been good, but let me tell you, it's been hectic, stressful, scary and beautiful. We survived the craziness of packing our home and life in Southern California and relocating to Tennessee. Honestly, the move was the most stressful thing I have ever endured, which is saying a lot because I have dealt with some stressful things in my 30-plus years. Sure, college had stressful moments, the military had many stressful moments and don't get me started on deployment stress. But let me tell you, traveling with a 5-year-old, 2-year-old, and 1-year-old takes the cake.
The significant life change was met with tears (from the kids and myself), temper tantrums, and joy from experiencing new things.
If there is anything I have learned from the past few months, it is to give grace. Grace to my sweet little ones because their life and routines were utterly upended, and they don't know why. It's wild how significant life changes can manifest in different ways with little ones, between tantrums, fighting, early wakeups, or being up all night. But bless their little hearts; they are coming out on the other side. Grace to my fantastic husband because there is so much he takes on, and does it like a champ. Lastly, grace to myself because, let's be honest, moms are so hard on ourselves.
It's easy to reflect on stress, but the beautiful moments truly surpass the hectic ones. We were so lucky to be able to stay with my parents for two weeks before we got to Tennessee; the two weeks were filled with some amazing moments. Watching my kids play in the rain with pure joy and laughter will go down as one of my favorite memories. Our trip was filled with long walks in the woods with our family, nightly quad rides with Daddy, quality time with their Nina, and many snuggles with their grandparents. So, as I look back at the last month, I look back with laughter at the craziness and beauty of it all.
Now that I have given a quick life update, I am here to say Seasons of Life Designs is starting with a bang in the new house, and content is coming soon! Tony and I are working on a few projects we are so excited to share. Stay tuned!
